We have just returned after my mom's follow-up appointment at OHSU with the neuro-surgeon. He said that things looked good and that she may proceed on with treatment! We are very excited to know that with chemotherapy and radiation treatment, Mom's life will be prolonged! We are fortunate to have modern medicine available to us!
We have great support in family and friends. I believe that I could call on 100 (maybe more) different people day or night and have help within minutes. People have been so good to us.
Mom's first words when she found out about possible treatment was that she would be able to spend more time with her "babies". Of course she is referring to her grandchildren! (What am I, chopped liver?) Anyway, spirits around our house are good and we all feel that we have received a special Christmas gift.
